Trivia:
What is the difference between Haringey and Harringay?
Answer: Haringey is the name of the borough (established in
1965 when three local Councils merged - Tottenham, Wood Green
and Hornsey). Harringay is the neighbourhood either side of
Green Lanes N4 & N8,. It goes from just north of Manor
House tube, where the New River runs under the road, to near
Turnpike Lane tube station. Officially Harringay includes
Finsbury Park too.
